St. Patty’s Day Pizzas Made Quick ‘n Easy

Kermit may find it’s not easy being green, but on St. Patrick’s Day, it’s hard not to be – and we’ve got some fabulous ideas to help you create St. Patty’s Day Pizzas for that holiday-loving crowd.

St_Patricks_Day_02Given the holiday, the key is to go green, of course. Keep those toppings the color of the Emerald Isle, and who needs that pot ‘o gold at the end of the rainbow? In fact, the toughest chore may be to choose between our ready-made crusts. Should it be the Ultimate Whole Grain, for those craving fiber, or our Crispy Thin Crust? Gluten Free Napoli Herb or Ciabatta?

No matter. You decide the crust; we’ll suggest the green toppings for those St. Patrick’s Day pies. Ready?

  • Go multi-ethnic with a Guacamole Pizza! We found a fabulous recipe on, which starts with a gluten-free crust topped with guacamole. Consider adding fresh arugula, spinach, tomatoes, sweet yellow and red bell peppers, fresh chopped parsley, basil and even some olives and sun-dried tomatoes.
  • Green beans, you say? We say, “Yum!” Make a good-for-you green pizza with this recipe for Green Bean Casserole Pizza. It may remind you of that Thanksgiving holiday favorite casserole, so why not create your own version – it’s always a crowd pleaser, and in pizza form, there’s plenty to go around!
  • A green-for-all! Make things easy and choose favorite toppings that keep with the St. Patty’s holiday: green olives, green peppers, broccoli, spinach, jalapeno peppers, asparagus, grilled zucchini. Use one, two, four or more! And why not start the canvas with a layer of green pesto sauce?
